One of the best things about camping is the freedom to enjoy your meals outdoors. Whatever your preferred mode of cooking, be it full gas camping stoves with grill or a small one ring gas burner, nothing beats the adventure and aroma of cooking from your tent. Another popular mode of cooking whilst camping is by bbq. Before you pack your camping bbq however, it is always a good idea to check with your campsite that they permit barbecuing on site. These days camping bbq sets come in many different guises from luxury gas powered units to the more traditional coal or briquette fuelled. A portable bbq set will also be light and should fold down so as to take up as little valuable space as possible. Of course, your preferred style of camping will have some bearing on the type of portable stove you choose. For those who like to travel light and carry their world on their back for a week or two then you are likely to want a gas camping stove that is as small and light as possible. For a camping holiday with the whole family, you are likely to choose one of the stoves with two or more burners. For a real home from home feel, take a look at some of the camping stoves on stands, some of which include a food preparation area but still fold down to fit easily in to the car. However you choose to cook on your camping trip, be it by gas powered stove or bbq, always read the safety instructions and never leave your bbq or stove unattended.
