Camping has come a long way from the days of the Carry On films. Today there is almost any amount of camping gear available from your camping shop to make the outdoor experience enjoyable and repeatable. Camping is no longer limited to those who cannot afford to travel abroad or to festival goers and, as the beauty spots of Britain are rediscovered, the choice of a camping holiday is preferred by many. Camping, be it the caravan owner or tent pitcher, is nowadays a well organised activity with camp sites offering top facilities including ablutions and electricity. Some of the sites will also provide additional facilities like a camping shop, swimming pool or games room. The sites themselves are inexpensive with additional charges for some of the facilities. It is always a good idea to check before you arrive. Naturally one will need to stock up on some essentials, which can range from a mains extension lead, multiple socket adaptors to a fully fledged lighting system. One may also need additional water for drinking and gas supplies for cooking. There are also tents that range from barely larger than a sock to the size of small apartments which depend on the ruggedness of the holiday that you are aiming at. Whether you are a seasoned traveller or novice explorer camping has many treats that await you. With a little bit of time you will find just the right sort of camping gear that will add that little bit of luxury to the outdoor experience and change it from being another holiday into one to remember with joy.
